Citroen DS4 comes with a choice of five refined and efficient engines - two HDi diesels and three petrol powerplants.
An example of truly creative design, Citroen DS4 boldly blends a mix of the most desirable styling references to create an exciting new automotive proposition. Marc Pinson, Citroen DS4's chief stylist, comments, "Reinterpreting cues opened up new possibilities, bringing practical and surprising solutions to automotive mobility".
Citroen DS4's cabin is dominated by the large panoramic windscreen that extends backwards into the roofline. Offering up to 45° of upward vision, the panoramic glazed area combines with Citroen DS4's slightly raised stance, to provide optimised visibility for the driver, with a bright yet intimate, airy cabin environment for passengers.
With its high-set, taut and agile stance, Citroen DS4 is tuned for dynamic performance, appealing to drivers looking for an involving motoring experience."We really wanted drivers to feel like they have the road at the tips of their fingers", says Jeremie Maestracci, Citroen DS4's project manager.
Depending on trim level, Citroen DS4 is fitted with large-diameter (340mm) ventilated disc brakes and, as standard, with dedicated braking control systems, including ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA). Ensuring optimal vehicle control in the most demanding driving situations, Citroen DS4 also features intelligent traction control with ESP.

Citroen DS4 will be launched with a choice of five refined and highly efficient Euro 5 engines. The two HDi diesels - an HDi 110 (also available as an e-HDi version) and an HDi 160 - are both fitted with Citroen's Diesel Particulate Filter System. The three petrol powerplants - VTi 120, THP 155 and the new THP 200 - were co-developed with BMW. The new THP 200 - based on the 1.6-litre engine - delivers flexible power delivery and performance thanks to its power output (147kW), plentiful torque (275Nm at 1,700rpm) - with low CO2 emissions of just 149g/km. All engines are available with manual or EGS six-speed gearboxes.
Citroen DS4 will be revealed at the 2010 Paris Motor Show and is expected to go on sale later in 2011.

The new Citroen DS4 is now on sale, prices start at just £18,150 for the VTi 120 DSign, rising to just under £24,000 for the range-topping THP 200 and HDi 160 DSport versions.
The new Citroen DS4 is available with three trim levels the DSign, DStyle and DSport. The entry-level DSign is equipped with six airbags, ESP, Hill Start Assist, air conditioning, daytime-running LEDs, 17” alloy wheels, front fog lights with cornering function, six-speaker Surround Sound audio system and cruise control with speed limiter and memory settings.
The Citroen DS4 DStyle models add key equipment such as 18” alloy wheels, automatic windscreen wipers and headlamps, front sports seats with electric lumbar adjustment and massage function, part-leather upholstery, automatic digital air conditioning, aluminium drilled pedals, rear parking sensors and the eTouch Emergency & Assistance System.
The Citroen DS4 is powered by five Euro 5 compliant engines, two diesels and three petrol units. The petrol THP 200 can reach a top speed of 146mph and is capable of 0-62mph in just 8.5 seconds. This impressive engine returns 44.1mpg over a combined cycle with co2 emissions of just 149g/km.

The second and final diesel option is the 160 HDi of 163CV, the only engine of the repasados whose engine capacity exceeds the 1.6 litres (2.0). With 163CV and 340 Nm of torque is certainly a good option, especially if we consider relationship prestaciones-consumo, because the demand for fuel in this vehicle is relatively low, 5.1 liters to 100. On the other hand their emissions are 134 g/km.

This model comes to market with engine power between 120 and 200 horsepower on gasoline, while the range of powers in diesel goes from 112 to 163 hp. The three petrol engines have been developed by Citroën and BMW.
Reviewing the mechanical gasoline we find that the engine of access is the VTi of Palio and pair between the 2,500 and 5,750 rpm 160Nm. Mixed consumption is 6.2 l / 100 Km and emissions are 144 g of CO2 per km.
If we wanted more power without leaving the fuel options could opt for the 155hp THP and torque 240Nm turbocharged and direct fuel injection. It comes mated to a manual transmission 6-speed piloted and their consumption are 6.5 l/100 km with CO2 emissions of 149 g / km.
If still more our is the Citroën DS4 THP 200hp and 275Nm of torque. Consumption are ridiculous if we take into account their characteristics, also consumes less than the 155 THP, 6.5 litres and 149 grams of CO2 per km are their emissions.
If on the contrary we dieselizados, we can access to the range with the HDi 110 of 112CV and 270Nm pair (with feature overboost 285Nm which increases it to accelerate strongly). This engine by microhíbrida technology e-HDi (Star-Stop) and the manual gearbox piloted standardises 4.4 litres and emits 122 grams per kilometre of CO2, not opt for the aforementioned elements consumption is increased on 0,3 litres.

Citroen C-Airlounge MPV concept

http://us1.webpublications.com.au/static/images/articles/i1003/100320_00mg.jpg

The voluptuous and somewhat bulbous Citroën C-Airlounge from the 2003 Frankfurt motorshow is an attractive MPV concept.
With a stark contrast between the gleaming black paint and the highlighted chrome accents on the grille, side sills and around the tail lights, the C-Airlounge has a thoroughly clean and futuristic style.

The Citroen C-Metisse is a 4-door

http://www.diseno-art.com/images/citroen-c-metisse-concept-1.jpg

The Citroen C-Metisse is a 4-door, 4-seat, coupe concept which went on display at the 2006 Paris Motor Show.
The Citroen C-Metisse (Mongrel in French) is constructed from lightweight carbon fibre, and powered by a 208 horsepower diesel V6 driving the front wheels, with two 20 horsepower, 300 lb/ft of torque electric motors turning the rears. At low speeds the car can operate solely on electric power resulting in zero emissions. Yet despite the economic hybrid powertrain the C-Metisse reaches 60 mph in just 6.2 seconds.
The Outrageous exterior design of the Citroen C-Metisse is styled to create a sense of power, intimidation and respect, while also providing an aerodynamic form for improved fuel economy.
Inside the C-Metisse concept Citroen's designers have gone just as wild. The four individual seats swathed in white leather are accessed by dramatic upward swinging doors which are not only impressive in appearance but also provide an easy entry.

http://www.diseno-art.com/images/citroen-c-metisse-concept-front.jpg

The C-Metisse's steering wheel has all the main comfort functions and driving aids (radio, speed limiter, onboard computer, lighting, indicators and windscreen wiper) positioned within easy reach. Combined with the steering-wheel mounted gear paddles the driver hardly need move their hands from the wheel.
The roof console of the Citroen C-Metisse concept features a 'contact' and 'start' button giving the sensation of being in a fighter jet.

The Citroën Xsara World Rally Car

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpNFF63MEwP1_GRyr6Ru6sUUSh1y0SXg1iP8hMhUJZfeSFakrOYCLSb8fM0VXrRr1TyuRGPrc39Zbwm2NbAllxjPgtrDDnVtjIJkWkboEJRvMi9PPc_Pwr5uaH7q2cgDGbtHiHBby19MQ/s400/Citroen-Xsara-T4-WRC_1.jpg

The Xsara World Rally Car, based on the road-going Xsara hatchback but ultimately having very little resemblance to it under the skin, was one of the most successful cars ever to compete in the World Rally Championship.

The car took Frenchman Sébastien Loeb to 28 rally wins, three consecutive Driver's Championship titles from 2004 to 2006,and Citroën to three consecutive Manufacturer's Championship titles in 2003, 2004, and 2005. Although it is the Frenchman who has proved the archetype Xsara WRC pilot virtually since its 2001 conception, Jesús Puras, Carlos Sainz and François Duval are the other drivers to have won.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkHsn9Sgnc_qK7k-niLF5pNwe3CEXBupAlPSSDn-_6rcBYJFQBwC4la3YywQHJOnnd94O1Xty8PoQYjCJfK44DdUibun07IbVIGN2kUcoWRuBB0fjxrayA7Wh4ILjbr554HZmnOhvbkHw/s400/picture_Kronos_Xsara_WRC_2006_1.jpg

2003 world champion Petter Solberg drove a 2006-spec Xsara for the majority of the 2009 season, which was entered by his own Petter Solberg World Rally Team.

The Citröen Metropolis

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7oGwJ63oMXKnMGuPzjLLRSahOe0ur4a_rTsuZEfytfdtDvDUkbOjeK98qrUYQDw80-k5xnVLTpQlniBmleUp5u1KEPBefH8-pqIC-rLL9mHpdnhKx2Y6DJtGL_B4nslzrgUbxkIsderhg/s800/Citroen-Metropolis-Concept-00.jpg

These are the first 'real life' pictures of Citroën's latest concept car, the Metropolis, that gives certain German makers (see Porsche and BMW) a lesson or two on how to design an eye-candy luxury sports saloon.
The styling of the 5.3m long and 2m wide but only 1.4m high Metropolis has echoes of the French automaker's well received GT supercar concept of 2008. This one was developed by Citröen's Shanghai-based design team.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2m2mdV-gx8b2UsVnnX-IVOQ_vgU8HYblP_4mKXXyb8zoYXs_w-h6695hSlMLKIqCmVFj4NrdjE57Nxdi6qu-1TZDvo4H1W6gx5JCoWs2gZPhDjdqCCn2woXrrGiEDH0Gx2_AT3VZoIIJk/s1600/Citroen-Metropolis-Concept-1.JPG

Under the subtle "Pearl Silk" colored bodywork there's a plug-in hybrid drivetrain that utilizes "an optimized" 2.0-liter V6 petrol engine, an electric motor and a 7-speed, dual-clutch electronic gearbox.

According to Citröen, at low speeds the Metropolis runs in Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mode, with its electric motor developing a continuous 55bhp peaking at 95bhp. At highway speeds, the petrol powerplant provides 272bhp and 375Nm of torque.

We don't how Citröen came up with this number, but the French claim that when the car uses both the electric motor and the combustion engine, the combined output is 460bhp and 430Nm of torque.

The Metropolis also benefits from a four-wheel drive mode and a Hydractive suspension.

The four-door sports saloon will be on show for the public in the French Pavilion at the Shanghai World Fair in China from 1st May to 31st October, 2010.

The Citroën SM high-performance

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMZGgr_65Q8pXPXbEO-5dUw_t1QV_8HeFi5mBz3AldI2OKlBmt7YfJP1TQq6hvWfZj1FiVPpC4vhgvw4bFl2S1FJfo72XHKbLHnDnZAO4xVbzbRytBa0MIn7Qev5PXz601F6TJxGj_wuw/s1600/Citro%C3%ABn+SM.jpg

The Citroën SM was a high-performance coupé produced by the French manufacturer Citroën from 1970 to 1975. The SM placed third in the 1971 European Car of the Year contest, trailing its stablemate Citroën GS, and won the 1972 Motor Trend Car of the Year award in the U.S. in 1972.
In 1961, Citroën began work on 'Project S' — a sports variant of the revolutionary Citroën DS. As was customary for the firm, many running concept vehicles were developed, increasingly complex and upmarket from the DS. Citroën purchased Maserati in 1968 with the intention of harnessing Maserati's high-performance engine technology to produce a true Gran Turismo car, combining the sophisticated Citroën suspension with a Maserati V6.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe84GMYFOrM1xZtqkbNXW2-6OddcBTy-Daj6mReOqCgasZDt4P_-M-4spVEjHvOwiRu0vylPQv8PSwUiFHvJ7lQW2qvpdTpc9sj4_b8nBmF3O3dOtvoChvs3qXDvt8Iow9_jhobjMg2UI/s1600/Citroen_SM.jpg

The look of the car, although easily identifiable as Citroën, is quite distinct, with a shape that even today looks futuristic. The car was even used in a 1999 television advertisement for British Petroleum of Spain, where 'a futuristic car was required'. Designed in-house by Citroën's chief designer Robert Opron, the SM bears a vague family resemblance to the DS, especially in retaining the latter's rear-wheel spats [? The DS' entire rear fenders came off.]. Seen from above though, the SM resembles a teardrop, with a wide front track tapering to a narrower rear track.

The Citroën C4 Picasso

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixsRGak56SD2H8zvq8Ub46CnKXci7NUSQXjO1ARHYa2GKTyZAFBf3JIBHDykbN7qdrqeOeqF0WHXSz4X-EAxpeAPnfJvYS3cBjMq6qlRcvwXPsVQlOeOh1I-sdG80yral3NsB_CA40cNVa/s1600/Citroen-C4_Picasso_2007_800x600_wallpaper_22.jpg

The Citroën C4 Picasso is a range of two compact MPVs, a five-seater and a seven-seater (Grand C4 Picasso), unveiled by French automaker Citroën in August 2006 and presented at the 2006 Paris Motor Show in September 2006 for the seven-seater, and in January 2007 for the five-seater. It shares platform and engines with the Citroën C4 and Peugeot 307 and coexists with the Xsara Picasso, the previous compact MPV produced by Citroën.
The second C4 Picasso model was officially unveiled on January 5, 2007 and has been displayed at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. For range consistency, the seven-seater is named Grand C4 Picasso.

One of the main features of both cars is the enormous windscreen which stretches back into the roof beyond the back of the driver's head. Two additional blinds are attached to the conventional sun visors and can be deployed to reduce glare, or simply on occasions when occupants find the large glass area unwelcome.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoirxJvHys-f-NRxhUVwJIzTUjQPQpAESesppTrIsuawLUlTBRgJny_xd7BsUxtDKypwb0qOduFbiLPqMb9gQOeug9_ankKi0zjqFyn0w35bhhsFfOK4vwhL02rr8Py8lTyTnyOqnQjDg/s1600/Citroen%252BC4%252BPicasso%252Band%252BGrand%252BPicasso%252B2011-1.jpg

The Grand C4 Picasso is slightly larger than other seven-seat compact MPVs like the Mazda5 and Renault Grand Scénic, and even larger than some early large MPVs like the Citroën Evasion. For this reason, some critics consider it as a large MPV, while other do not because of its similarities in engine range, inner room and price with compact MPVs.

A pneumatic rear suspension is available as an option which make the ride smoother and can lower the sill. In some markets this option is only available on higher trim levels.

The Citroën XM is an executive car

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9eJpfycW3DlpriyDVX2ahyphenhyphenpwOK5i5A8bXh8XWwYsyYR_rJN_91w79hWzArvzTbrf5EXRoLOp1Qytu3iT7EDRmAnFLNBHLT9WQXH21695lGiSv8sUfCFv6mZ3aDToQHBXZPYNwWI2t01A/s400/citroen+xm.jpg

The Citroën XM is an executive car that was produced by the French automaker Citroën between 1989 and 2000. Citroën sold 333,775 XMs during the model's 11 years of production. The XM was voted 1990 European Car of the Year
Launched on 23 May 1989, the XM was the modern iteration of the Big Citroën, a replacement for the Citroën CX.

The XM won the prestigious European Car of the Year award for 1990 (gaining almost twice as many votes as the second, the Mercedes-Benz SL) and went on to win a further 14 awards that year.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSzRgHIcBKBpr7Y9ogDQELxTor83xb9906WQzLumo1h1OMJh2v6BTCtkH5KDAZJEdGJiUB-vjNy_izQu5TzAlv-Wn0y_1HXzfoEZNmm29nmh4hJ0CKM8-Yh_0Cf4oUJrxO-sTKJqJb-Mti/s1600/citroen+xm+rear.jpg

The extreme, slender, and well-proportioned Bertone design took Gandini's Citroën BX concept to its natural conclusion. That design drew heavily on the Citroën SM of the 1970s, sharing similar lines and looks, tailored to meet higher production numbers and lower production cost. Design critic Jonathan Meades described it as the last gothic car, as quoted by Stehen Bayley in "Design Made Visible" (2007).

There were many advances, most apparently designed to counteract concerns about the vintage CX design. The CX leaned in corners, so the XM had active electronic management of the suspension; the CX rusted, so the XM had a part-galvanised bodyshell (most surviving XMs have very little corrosion); the CX was underpowered, so the XM offered the option of a 3.0 L V6 engine – the first in a Citroën since the Maserati-engined SM of 1970.

The Citroën AX

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEPs6mr9i3l7iHLydIQxwumwDNNo9lhXnFd2iNaIAFPX2SuVQJxWDoHpCJENxAzDwHev2JAh58s-lzgdxYOXSuErY1VvsGoA_5xmS_oWHAWdJ7nGFWkpc2V3SxrTCRQ_7ZA1g6QGQDD3s/s320/citroen-ax-gti.jpg

The Citroën AX is a supermini built by the French manufacturer Citroën from 1986 to 1998. The AX was launched at the 1986 Paris Motor Show to replace the Citroën Visa and Citroën LNA.
The AX started development since 1983, and was initially going to form the basis of a sister model from Talbot to replace the Samba; however, the falling popularity of the Talbot brand had led to Peugeot deciding to axe it by the time the Citroën AX was launched, and so the Talbot version never made it into production.
The car was available from its launch on 2 October 1986 as a three-door hatchback with 1.0, 1.1 and 1.4-litre TU-series belt driven OHC engines. Shortly afterwards, a five-door model and a 1.4 diesel were introduced; the latter was later replaced by a 1.5-litre unit. It had fully independent long travel suspension. It was initially backed by a memorable TV advertising campaign filmed in China, starring actress Janet Mas and an elderly gentleman, whose character was simply known as Mr Wong.
The first performance version was the limited-run AX Sport from 1987, with a 1.3 engine and twin carburettors producing 95 bhp (71 kW; 96 PS), wearing iconic white steel wheels (5,5" x 14") which resembled those on its brother, the Peugeot 205 Rallye. The AX Sport used Solex ADDHE 40 carburettors until 1990 and was then replaced with Weber DCOM 40s, just like the 205 Rallye 1,3. The AX Sport had a shorter inlet manifold than the 205 Rallye, to save room in the smaller engine compartment. Later on the sport was lightly revised, available in other colours and with optional GT wheels. Later, the AX 14GT, with a single-carburettor 85 bhp (63 kW; 86 PS) 1.4 engine also found in the Peugeot 205 XS, was introduced. From 1991, this model utilised fuel injection to coincide with the revamp of the entire range and to coincide with tougher 1992 EU emission regulations that introduced exhaust catalytic converters.

The Citroën Xantia

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfwalEsgpsWsuKLj6CHUBfhVyN5j_Jw_ryOKJSsRmC0QVzKhjZBl3QH-cIwtFas6OFCxj8HjVy0j-2-vzqUJWoG3LviNLAce6lnj_S4bqncOn8mVMteCaSS7E751-DLcK37-xjpteVUmo/s320/citroen_xantia.jpg

The Citroën Xantia, pronounced 'Zan-tia' is a large family car produced by the French automaker Citroën. First seen at the end of 1992, the car was produced between 1993 and 2001, with a facelift in 1998. Citroën sold over 1.2 million Xantias during its 8 years of production. After production in Europe ended in early 2001, the SAIPA Corporation in Iran produced it (until September 2010). Penned by Bertone, the exterior styling of the Xantia was also used on the Daewoo Espero
The Xantia replaced the earlier Citroën BX and maintained the high level of popularity of that model, but brought the car more into the mainstream to compete harder with its rivals such as the Ford Mondeo, Nissan Primera, Rover 400, Toyota Carina E and Vauxhall Cavalier.

It signalled that Citroën had learned from the reception given the staid Citroën ZX, introduced two years earlier and criticised by contemporary journalists for its lack of traditional Citroën flair in engineering and design. The Xantia addressed these concerns in the facelifted Xantia.

The Xantia also used the traditional Citroën hydropneumatic suspension system pioneered in the older DS. It was initially only available as a hatchback (liftback) (Berline), but an estate (station wagon) (Break) version built by Heuliez appeared in 1995.

The Citroën DS4 (luxury vehicle)

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-G9OG9Cisoxc/Tc8tyaq5jVI/AAAAAAAACXQ/N8WSoFODuZI/s320/2012-Citroen-DS4-THP-200-Rear-Side-View-2-570x369.jpg

The Citroën DS4 is the second model in the new premium (luxury vehicle) sub-brand DS created by Citroën to run alongside its mainstream cars. Based upon the Citroën C4 II, but with more dramatic styling and chrome and leather used outside and inside respectively.

The petrol engines that power the DS4 are a product of a collaboration between PSA and BMW. All are 1,598 cc four-cylinder, 16-valve units. The base VTi 120 is normally aspirated and puts out 120 hp (89 kW). As its name implies it comes with variable valve timing. The next engine up is the THP 155, essentially a turbo-charged version of the VTi. It puts out 156 hp (116 kW) thanks to a twin-scroll turbocharger and dual overhead cams. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The most powerful gas engine available in the DS4 is the THP 200. It's a variation of the THP 155 previously mentioned but pushed to 200 hp (149 kW)

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyEXiJ1sXXp48CECtlRXldxg7HyU2vM865xBgTJb6BhyphenhyphenbnEXBsjJM9LNenLmIUYuaSe0f2EhtYOryjv43VPIZrz9UowEXSlW7H42NvtxVl7rQXVioXr_VALuEKwbgWk9WBXMDyloMChH3i/s400/2012%252BCitroen%252BDS4%252B1.jpg

On the diesel side of things the DS4 has two engines available. The first is the HDi 110, a 1,560 cc four-cylinder that puts out 112 hp (84 kW). The second is the four-cylinder HDi 160 that has already proven itself in the Citroën C5 sedan. It has a displacement of 1,997 cc and puts out 163 hp (122 kW).

The DS4 is available with Start&Stop technology and Citroën says that the battery has been optimized to withstand up to 600,000 starting cycles.

The DS4's styling has been very well received by the international press. It was elected “Most Beautiful Car of the Year” at the International Automobile Festival, beating BMW’s new 5-series and Honda’s CRZ hybrid. As if that wasn’t enough, German magazine Auto Bild and its partner magazines throughout Europe have just given it 1st Prize for Design in its category in their Design Award contest.

The GT by Citroën (sometimes spelled GTbyCitroën) is a sports car that debuted as a concept car on October 2 at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. The car is a collaboration between the French automaker Citroën and the Japanese racing simulation developer Polyphony Digital. 6 cars are said to be built. The expected MSRP is $2,000,000.
The GT by Citroën concept car was specially created, designed and produced for the video game Gran Turismo 5 and was included through download in its latest version Gran Turismo 5: Prologue. Its designer came up with the project and sold it to both Polyphony Digital and Citroën.
The car's exterior design was made by Takumi Yamamoto, a Japanese designer from Jean-Pierre Ploué's Style Citroën design team. Takumi Yamamoto was a childhood friend of Kazunori Yamauchi, director of Polyphony Digital and creator of the popular Gran Turismo franchise, also known as "Gegge". According to a Yamauchi interview at the Paris Motor Show 2008,he and Yamamoto started collaborating on this project back in 2003. A press release published on the North American Gran Turismo official website describes the Citroën and Polyphony Digital collaboration as a « a joint effort first talked about at the Geneva Motor Show past March [2008] ».Yamamoto convinced Jean-Pierre Ploué to submit his concept to Citroën's head office in Paris who agreed to start the production process and manufacture the real car. The concept car's rear was carefully designed to fit what the gamers will actually see in the game since it is the more powerful featured vehicle, argues Yamamoto.

The Citroën C4 is a small family

The Citroën C4 is a small family car produced by French automaker Citroën since autumn 2004. The C4 was designed to be the successor to the Citroën Xsara. It is mechanically similar to the Peugeot 308, which was launched in 2007. A revised version with new front end, reverse light and dashboard revisions was launched for the 2008/09 model year. In January 2010 it was announced that the Coupe version was to be discontinued in favour of the new Citroën DS4. The C4 came in 2nd place in the 2005 European Car of the Year awards
A major selling-point of the C4 is its extensive use of technology. For example, the car features the "Lane Departure Warning System" (only in the top-of-the-range "Exclusive" model), which alerts the driver if he or she crosses a road marking without using the turn signals; directional headlights; perfume dispenser integrated into the ventilation system; translucent dashboard, transparent glass roof; ESP (Electronic Stability Program), and a fixed steering wheel hub which lets the driver operate several functions of the car without removing his or her hands from the wheel. The fixed hub also allows for the first production use of a "shaped" driver airbag. Because the hub maintains a constant position, the airbag can be optimally shaped to spread the load across the greatest possible area of the driver's body in a collision, thus reducing the chances of serious injury. In addition, the car features an innovative centrally mounted translucent LCD speedometer display that remains clearly visible in all lighting conditions.

Citroen will bring two special editions and one concept to Geneva. The first doua are called C3 Red Block and C6 Black & White respectively. The concept was named DS4 Purple.

C3 Red Block is a special edition of the famous French hatchback, it's covered by a gray Thorium mat hue. The model is equipped with a series of 17-inch wheels with contrasting red outline.

The interior features a new dashboard in 3D Bulldog format, which offers a futuristic allure to the French model. The package also comes with a little more efficient suspension.

C3 Red Block will be accompanied by C6 Black & White, a special edition that shows a C6 which has undergone a restyling treatment.

The public will also be able to admire the DS4 model which will be equipped with micro-hybrid technology e-HDi. It will be accompanied by an alternative concept, called Purple.

A Citroen C1

But the most unfortunate thing of all, neither one of the three are available in Malaysia. A Toyota AYGO would make a perfect choice; stylish, cheap (8.5k British Pounds, around RM45k), good after-sale service, and it's a Toyota, the same badge with the super hot twin sisters! A Citroen C1 would've been a capable backup choice due to it being another stylish and cheap car. A C3 though only scored a meagre 11/20, despite it's cool looking exterior. But unless it's a second hand, the price is out of the budget, and I might opt for it! A Peugeot 107 costs more than the earlier two mentioned in the UK.
So I am now left with the dilemma of having to either make do with a Proton Saga (no Top Gear review on the car, but it's my mom's favoured choice), a Perodua MYVI, which scored a decent 10/20 though the "backside" looks like a real human one (Viva would be better, no?), or the tiny, cheap, pensioner-like-exterior but amazingly highly rated by most sites - Hyundai i10 (13/20, 14/20 at last review from Top Gear, which is not bad at all!).

Might be going to the showroom for a better look at the i10. Hope that it's not too small. But even if it is...
